The NGCast is Negative Gamer's audio adventure into the gaming world. Each week the crew discuss what's been going on aided only with knowledge, cynicism and an inability to stay on topic.
To make sure you get the latest show you can subscribe via iTunes, or subscribe to the RSS feed using something else.

This week’s episode of the NGCast has me injuring myself in the name of vanity and Wardrox making friends all over the videogame blog world via social networking websites. I have also finally gotten round to using a USB microphone so your ears will not be punished as harshly this time round. Some other topics include:
- Ubisoft, Activision/Infinity Ward, Sony, what ARE you like?
- Battledrome results and the next game.
- Small break for the NGCast as Wardrox is on a boat.
- James El’s audio review of Imagine: Babies.
Please spread the word of the NGcast by Tweeting or Facebooking about the show! Feel free to leave a comment with feedback.

This week’s NGCast was recorded in some kind of meta-reality that defies the axioms of our physical universe. In this sphere of space and time separate from our own only Wardrox, myself, and PS3 firmware can exist in harmony. This show contains not only crystal clear decent acceptable audio quality, but also topics such as:
- I finally bought some games and even finished one!
- The Battledrome and how Wardrox learned to stop worrying and love Burnout Paradise.
- UK videogame retailers in trouble.
- SunnyD
If you, kind listener, could find it within your infinite generosity and mercy to grant us the favour of a review on iTunes we would be forever grateful. You can also leave a voicemail on the Negative Gamer Skype account or a comment with feedback for the show!

Wardrox sheparded his folks about New York. He says it was all pleasant and fine, but I prefer to imagine events were similar to that of the Meet The Parents/Fockers film. I got a new hair cut and spent more than one entire note on it, and as a result still break out into panicked fits every now and then. Some other topics discussed on this week’s NGCast include:
- America has security issues with credit and debit cards.
- Battledrome results.
- Some Koreans like Starcraft but not all of them.

This weekend I paid to enjoy the japes of a man who looks like Hitler in my nation’s capital. Wardrox played a lot of some game called Bioshock 2 or something, you might have heard of it. This week’s aurally pleasurable listen-fest contains such topics as:
- Bioshock 2 bugs.
- Negative Gamer stuff you can buy.
- Should game developers do more to accommodate disabled gamers?
- Results from round 6 of the ‘Drome and the next game.
Remember to leave an iTunes review and a voice mail!

Wardrox is slowly assimilated into American culture with a trip to see Monster Trucks (Grave Digger is his most favourite one ever). Meanwhile, I do something really manly and worry about my hair-do. Accompanying these topics on this week’s episode of the NGCast are:
- The Negative Gamer mug has arrived, it is massive.
- Round five of the Battledrome, including this week’s result and next week’s game.
- Voice mails! Yay!
If you could leave a review on iTunes it would mean a lot to Wardrox and myself. A five star review is also good for one free hug. Don’t forget to leave a comment or voice mail!

This week I ponder the intricacies of objectivism and rational selfishness whilst Wardrox takes on the guise of a caped crusader and punches bad guys really hard in the face. Some other shenanigans include, but are not limited to:
- MediaMonkey is great and you are a terrible person for not using it.
- Completely in-depth dialogue regarding the iPad’s place in gaming.
- Phone interview with Yamster, who’s present at the Scottish Game Jam.
- BBC television shows and the games that can be harvested from them.
As ever, leaving a review on iTunes would be super-awesome and also totally radical. Leave a comment or have your voice heard by leaving us a voice mail through Skype!

Wardrox continues to be integrated into colonial society while I become an dragon! Not just an regular dragon, oh no. But an shades-wearing baby dragon. In this weeks show:
- I have my face blown off by some Blu-rays.
- Wardrox buys cake in the middle of the night.
- This week’s Battledrome results and next game.

Wardrox and I have had an interesting week. He travelled to another nation, I started a disappointing Uni placement. Both of us are slightly more dead inside as a result. Hear all about our soul-blackening adventures in this week’s NGCast. Other notable highlights include:
- Five pet peeves about videogame blogs (but not in any particular order).
- Why Bayonetta’s sex isn’t her weapon.
- Wardrox vs Halfleft grand-slam battledrome extravaganza megawar ultra-XTREME (henceforth, WvHGSBEMU-X) update and new game.
Call in and leave us a voice-mail. Failing that leave a comment. But whatever you do, you should definitely recommend us to your friends.

NGCast is back for 2010 in a glorious new form! Catch up with Wardrox and myself to hear our captivating winter tales and rib-tickling festive anecdotes in this week’s show. Probably. Also bear witness to Wardrox and Sam discussing the relevance of 3D in gaming technology, while I exhale apathetically. Some of the discussed topics include:
- “Christmas” or something.
- The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) happened.
- I fell down the stairs.
- Wardrox vs Halfleft grand-slam battledrome extravaganza megawar ultra-XTREME.
Be sure to add ‘gallmond’ and ‘wardrox’ on your Audiosurf friends list if you wish to track our megawar progress (See: me definitely winning). If you have anything you want to add, leave a comment or leave us a voicemail!

Fresh faced and full of cake from our winter break the NGCast, Negative Gamer’s most popular podcast, is returning… in less than 24 hours! Tomorrow’s show will be episode zero of season one. We start counting at zero because we are computer scientists (har har). SCIENCE!
The show will be an hour longish and filled with everything you have come to expect from the NGCast; news, topical chats and discussions of things unrelated to games. The show’s going to see a reduced cast from the last season with myself and Half Left taking the hosting seats.
As well as a new format (more modular and less one-long-conversation) we have a brand new segment called Wardrox vs Halfleft grand-slam battledrome extravaganza megawar ultra-XTREAM. But you’ll have to listen to the show to find out what that is (hint: it involves Lady Gaga).
We’ll also have more community involvement in the form of not just questions (which you can ask via the forum) but also audio. You can leave us voicemails that we will listen to and may broadcast on the show. The best voicemails will also win prizes. Prizes!

It’s finally here! I’m so excited! What was the biggest PR back-fire? What was voted the biggest disappointment of the year by you, our dear readers? Will Bobby Kotick get the You’re Doing it Wrong, Special Mention Award for the second year in a row!? Find our right now!
Join myself and Half Left in this end of year NGCast special for all the results.
The weekly NGCast will be returning in the new year, so watch out for a special announcement on the 11th of Jan with all the info.

As you will soon hear on this week’s show, we’re going to be taking a break for the remainder of the year. We have some NGCast specials due to tide you over until January 11th, when we’ll be announcing what’s going on with the show. Will it be exactly the same? Will it be nothing but the sound of dinosaurs for an hour? Who knows?
Also listen out for a cool way you can win a copy of Dragon Age Origins (360 version inc. DLC, unless won by somebody who can’t play NTSC games, in which case it’ll be the PC version), courtesy of Brett who joins us this week. As well as all that we also have a chat about:
- Left 4 Dead 2, a couple of indie games, Assassin’s Creed II
- iPhone developers trying to bribe bloggers
- Tony Bawwww more like
- Competition winners!
Hurrah! If you have anything to say, feel free to leave a comment below or give us a ring.

A fitting headline if ever there was one. You may notice some technical issues with this week’s sound quality; our main recording of the show went and got itself broken through the forces of evil so we had to use the backup which isn’t quite as sexy.
On this week’s episode myself, Chelsea, Gandy and Gavin chat for more time than usual about;
- Gandy’s social experiment
- Left 4 Dead 2 and Battlefront on the DS
- Microsoft banning people who use bugs in games
- There’s a new gaming mag none of us will buy
- More competition information (it’s been extended to next week as there was no show last week)
As always reviews and kind words are always appreciated and stop Gandy from crying quite as much when he sleeps.

Fist bumps and tales of stabbing with pens make this show far more exciting than expected. The usual crew gather around the podcast camp-fire and… something to do with marshmallows. We also have a competition this week! Full details are on the show (now you have to listen, cunning eh?) but the basic idea is this:
Publicise the NGCast somehow. There are three different ways to win prizes; a random winner from all who enter, a prize for the most successful entry and a prize for the most awesome attempt. Leave evidence in the comments below (links to tweets, photos etc.). The winners get prizes from Gandy, Halfie and Brandon.
Competitions aside we also talk on this week’s show about;
- Left 4 Dead 2, Assassin’s Creed II, DJ Hero and what keeps Halfie up at night.
- OnLive on your phone? Can’t exist.
- Gamespot gets some respect
- Full competition details
- Twinkie related reviews
All that and your usual talk of nonsense.

The following podcast contains no Modern Warfare 2 spoilers, but may offend you if you, well, exist. Blame Gandy. The rest of us (minus Half Left this week as he is being all sociable or something) are nice. As well as inciting angry letters we also talk about:
- The best, almost spilled coffee ever
- Borderlands, TorchED, Modern Blah 2, Fairytale Fights
- How far should game companies bend to accommodate gamers with disabilities?
- Oh Ubisoft, you are a one.
All that and a surprising amount more! If you enjoy the show please do spread the word.

We only censored the bits of Lauren that’ll get her in legal trouble, so don’t fret too much. Sadly there is no Brandon this week, but our discussion of good looking Canadian men sure makes up for it. We also have a chat about;
- I play some indie games, like them, then call them terrible by mistake
- Canada is hard-core French
- Infinity Ward and Activision do not make us happy
- User questions do

This episode of the NGCast was recorded in Laandaan at the Eurogamer Expo in front of a live studio audience. Myself, Gandy and Half Left chat about a host of things, including:
- Psychoanalysis of my dream
- An indie game told Gandy to do inappropriate things
- We played a bit of Dragon Age Origins, Forza 3, NFS: Shift, Assassin’s Creed 2 and Tekken 6
- We are unimpressed with the PSPgo
- We kind of liked Left 4 Dead 2, Red Steel 2 and Bayonetta
- I’m still no God of War fan, but could get into Borderlands
Things may return to normal for a new, regular NGCast this week, but Gandy might be setting fire to women so we’ll have to wait and see.

I promise we’ll stop talking about Torchlight soon. If you want to know more about our thoughts on the game, Andy’s review is now up. Joining myself and Andy for this Torchlight NGCast special is Max Schaefer (CEO), Travis Baldree (President and Project Lead) and a few minutes into the show, Jason Beck (Art Director). On this episode we talk about;
- How releasing a game is like having a baby
- A Mac port is coming, and Linux port isn’t
- Why you have a pet
- What’s with the crazy amount of free modding available and how soon until a Diablo mod?
- How to cope with Piracy
- How this game fits in with the planned MMO and more details on that
If you enjoyed this show please do spread the word. Subscribing to the show (links below) is the easiest way to make sure you get all the updates. Also, congrats to n3rv3 for being randomly chosen to win a copy of the game.

I think we all learn a bit more about ourselves on this podcast. Please don’t psychoanalyse us and tell us things about our parents. Also, sorry to disappoint but there’s no Lauren on this week’s show, as was promised in the forum. She’s silly busy doing “education” or something. This week we discuss:
Also, find out how Gandy made a woman cry! Not to be missed.

After recording of this week’s episode finished, I counted 12 separate insect bites on my arms. This doesn’t actually factor into this episode, but thought you might be interested. Other things we talk about are:
- Half Left and Brandon got gifts
- Brutal Legend, Uncharted 2 and ODST
- We don’t Google Phil’s article
- Halo, more like Whore-lo
- Silly Left 4 Dead 2 boycotters
All that and some other things too. Listen will you please!
