Yes, I will return to school tomorrow waking up at the vile time of 7 rather than 2 like I have been.
I’ve boon writing a lot recently, after getting quite a few rejections I’m reworking my novel. I’m just switching the protagonist and antagonist.
@wardrox: Then I’m cool with that. The worry was that it may become watered down. I’d hate for the site to descend into a Kotaku or Destructoid styled “LOL, this picture has a game in it” post-fest.
More content is good, bigger readership is good. I’m with you.
@triumphofhearts: pff, that would be me making it easy for myself. Whilst obviously there’s a finite amount of that stuff so proportionally there’ll be less, there’s gonna be the same amount if not more in actual quantity.
The new plans for the site sound good. Am definitely looking forward to watching how NG develops over the next year. The magazine style layout sounds like it could be good. If it makes it easier to get to the content then I’m all for it (I sometimes struggle to get to the articles I want to read on here, that’s possibly more because I’m trying to do about 4 or 5 things at once rather than a critisim of the site, but anything that makes it easier is good for me (On a slightly related note, and one that may become redundant after the site redesign, on an article’s page there are links to move to the previous and next articles at the bottom. Would it be possible to have them at the top of the page as well? Reason I ask is I sometimes forget to check the site for a few days, heresy I know but i was recently in Morocco with no internet. So when I do get online I want to “catchup” starting from the earliest article I havent read. With the link at the bottom, it means i have to scroll all the way down the page, click to go to the previous article and then repeat until I’m at the point I want to start reading. This is an entirely minor issue and is more me being lazy) (I also don’t know why most of this post is nested within brackets…))
As for what I’m doing, I spent Christmas in Morocco, so having returned to this (rather cold) country I’ve been doing the whole family/friends catchup. However i still have this week off work, so am taking the opportunity to finish off some Uni stuff, and I may even sort out getting my xbox fixed.
You should stop saying “get a real job”. I know what you mean (supplement income that you’re not getting from NG so you can live) but the way you say it sounds like the site is an excuse to slack off, get “journalism perks” and avoid “real life” until something better comes along. :P

“10-20 posts per day” wait wut? That’s a lot of posts for Shauna to be passive aggressive with ;)
NGCast returns next week = awesomeness! Down with blind people!
Magazine format, sounds pretty sweet, will there be centrefolds?
Cold, indoors? Anyone else think that his parents turned the heat off to make sure Wardrox moves out?
@Philbart999: Passive agressive am I? I’ll keep that in mind next time I look at something you’ve written.
Will the increase in posts be attributable to you, current staff or new inductees? Is the plan to feature less negative content as well?
@triumphofhearts: current and new staff will be the ones posting, though obviously me as well.
If ever you think there’s less negative stuff, we’re doing it wrong lol. I’m wanting to add more to what we have, rather than change what we have.

@Smab: Oooooooooooooh… lol
Sounds like a good plan for the site and the best of luck pulling it off. I know that ill try to support it as best I can.
Eating eggs and bread.
Sounds good. I’ll be glad to get more posts from NG a day.
As for my day, it’s been a bit shit. I burnt my hashbrowns…

Wishing everyone at NG a happy 2010
@ruanae: glad you had a good time :)
I was planning on moving the next & prev links to below the article, but above the comments. Meaning you can read, next, read, next etc.
