Speaking to Gamesauce, Scott Miller Co-Founder of 3D Realms has stated that despite the seemingly endless production and then abandonment of Duke Nukem Forever, “the next few years should see a strong resurgence in Duke.”
Miller, who is the defendant in a lawsuit filed by Take Two has stated that this “resurgence” could come in the form of some casual games. Shacknews guesses that this could mean two iPhone games, DS and PSP titles, an Xbox Live Arcade port of Duke Nukem: Manhattan Project and a title hinted at in the lawsuit called Duke Begins, which is being developed by Gearbox Studios.
So not only is Duke Nukem going to return, there’s a possibility of six Nukem games, which is funny because we all just wanted one, 12 years ago. Miller also makes some interesting comments about that Nukem game, stating that: “We’ve never said that Duke Nukem Forever has ceased development. … Yes, we released the internal team, but that doesn’t correlate to the demise of the project.”
As if that wasn’t enough he also sheds light on the Duke Nukem movie adaptation explaining that: “the Duke film is making steady progress…we’re developing a much more complete storyverse for Duke, filling out all of the details we’ve left to the imagination in the games”
Miller is treading dangerous water here, he’s once again promising a heck of a lot without any proof that it isn’t just vapourware. If I were you, I wouldn’t get your hopes up and as Kotaku says: “games, or GTFO”.

It’s time to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I’m all out of gum.
(Also, disappointed with the reference to Kotaku and not The ‘Tak)
