Evony, the advertise-by-tits, pay-for-power, pile-o-shit source of spam and amusement have sent legal documents to one of their loudest critics; Bruce Everiss. Here’s the first page.
The thumbnails below show the other pages which detail everything Mr. Everiss said, which they dispute. It also includes (I’m sure for legal reasons) the apology they want him to publish.
In words that legally I of course have no connection with or opinion on, Evony has been described as “the most despised game on the web.” I’m sure this recent move to hush their critics will win back the gaming public.
In legally unrelated news, Evony is now banned from advertising on this website, something that will come into effect in the next few hours.
Update: Looks like The Guardian has been served a similar notice, this article now has an added line stating “This article is the subject of a legal complaint from Evony LLC.” Gosh.

You can ban specific google ads from appearing and hadn´t exercised this option yet?! ;)

Having read the article on bruceongames above I am even more amazed by the cheek of evony. I hope the Guardian and everyone else being served these letters follow suit and take a stand to stop them getting away with this nonsense.

@Controllersaurus: I suspect it has something to do with Australia being within the same legal jurisdiction as Britain. It’s easy enough for Evony to get at The Guradian and Bruce from Britain and so they’re trying their luck.
Ack! What I mean to say is it’s easy enough for Evony to get at Britain from Australia. Oh well.
Quite aware, but they should also realise in doing that, that our laws also have those small paragraphs about defamation defenses. You know like, true point, opinion and a single indivdual must be affected not a company… but still they were totally just in dragging us down with them… assholes.
It seems like it’s more to do with the fact the blog can be viewed in Australia so they can sue them from Australia. And this way it would cost far too much for Bruce to go out to Australia to defend himself so he is being forced to back down from his claims for fear of financial ruin. Regardless of whether the allegations are actually true or not.
This will be probably the most first controversial soft-porn ever graced the high courts in history…epic failed!

Heres hoping every gaming blog site ever in the history of everything starts putting the good word out about Evony. I would like to see them burn in righteous fire for their transgressions.
My main concern is it will take me 57 hours to upgrade my town hall, at least a week to fortify my walls to a decent level and another 2 weeks to build a small raiding party, if evony goes down all my hard work playing evony when I am actually at work will be lost.
Also I still havent seen any tits and the sprites are mostly geezers.

Evony are blatant liers. Evony claims that they have never had any association with UMGE or China, well then what the hell is this?

That is a copy and paste of a May 31 2009 online help wanted ad posted by Evony.The formatting and wording are exactly the same as later help wanted ads posted by evony, the only thing that they have changed in the later ads is the deletion of the reference to UMGE and china.Evony has been searching the internet and deleting all its past post and references to UMGE and china. well they missed at least one because this help wanted ad still exists. (no I`m not going to post the link for it) I sent the link to Bruce Everiss, and hope it helps him nail these communist bastards to wall.They are nothing but liers and con artists.
