Rant Hot Property - When Video Blogging Doesn’t Suck

With the invention of the internet bringing like minded people everywhere together, some people quickly decided that their opinions were valued higher than those of others. Aided with webcams and sites such as YouTube, those people quickly found a way of feeding their thoughts and opinions to the masses. Oh joy.

I dread to think how long it would take me to watch them all but I’ve been linked to enough YouTube videos to know the utter amount of crap that is out there. You are not the next Zero Punctuation and no I do not wish to have your opinion rammed down my throat through your very special brand of wit and/or intellect.

Example 1. Chad Warden

However, on my daily browse through the gaming blog’o’sphere I came across ThatVideoGameBlog.com and found a video by the contributor Butner Brimberry. Now it’s not very often I watch another videogames related video since I’ve grown jaded towards them, but I watched anyway.

It was probably one of the best videos I have seen in a long time. So good in fact I actually had to write this post about it, not only did I find if funny (tough considering that British humour normally expects too much from Americans) but it wasn’t another home made ‘listen to me rant about why I love/hate this game and how my opinion is blatantly better than yours’ video. Eureka!

So check this guy out, I got a feeling he will be hugely popular in the future. Start watching now so you can brag to everyone else about how you were watching him before they were, because that would make you one of the cool kids, and you do want to be cool don’t you?

If you like what you see, check out his YouTube account for some past videos.

I do love the work Butmac has done. I’ve said it before, but he’s got a real presence in front of a camera. Something a lot of these nubs don’t have.
